Your first EcoCONNECT
Goal: Watch a live value from the EcoCONNECT board and understand what it means.
Time: about 10 minutes
Before you start
Finish Getting started and flash the firmware.
Steps
- Place the board on a clean, dry table.
- Connect USB power.
- Open the tool or serial monitor that your kit instructions recommend for beginners.
- Watch the numbers for about 30 seconds without touching the sensor.
- Gently change the environment (for example, cover a light sensor, or warm a temperature sensor with your hands — only if your kit says it is safe).
- Watch how the numbers change.
What to write in your notebook
- What stayed the same?
- What changed?
- Why do you think it changed?
You’re done when…
You can explain one measurement in one sentence, for example:
“When I covered the sensor, the light reading went down.”
